JASON
WEISMANN
Saxophone
Jason is a Phi Beta Cappa Graduate of Berklee
College of Music in Boston Mass with a degree in Performance,
Arranging, and studies in Film Scoring. He has played with such
bands as The Jaztronauts who are the recipients of the Minnsota
Music Awards Best Acoustic Jazz Group, 2002, The NuJazz Quintet,
West Side, Lamont Cranston, Joe Juliano, the Billy Holloman Group,
“Captain” Jack McDuff, Big John Dickerson and Blue
Chamber, and tours Europe regularly with his own funk-jazz ensemble.
He was also seen on Channel 45’s “Big Bad Movie”
as one of the musical hosts for the last year and a half. He also
plays often at the Saint Paul Saints games in a paired down version
of The Jaztronauts.
Jason is currently a full time student certifying in Protools
and Avid software preparing to work as a commercial jingle writer.

smile or showin off some jazz hands‚ that’s probably
Jason. Jason has played with Wynton Marsalis at the Tapestry Dance
Center in Minneapolis 2001, played with Pearl Jam at an impromtu
blues jam with members of Lamont Cranston in St. Paul in 1999,
and sat in with Harry Connick Jr. In Boston at a post-show event.
A Gemini, Jason enjoys Punk Rock, Jazzercise, and Western cookin
and one day aspires to join “Up with People” but for
now is content with just knowing ALL of their routines.
